Oooooh, we’ve got a lovely new Aga.
The delivery guys for Aga seem to be a class above all of the other delivery men I’ve met recently. Despite the Aga not fitting in through either the front door or down the side of the house due to obstructive scaffolding, the delivery men got the Aga into the back garden via the garage with only the minor complications of lost keys and the door being too small to surmount. The door was removed to get the Aga through – credit to (one of) them for dispelling my delivery driver prejudices!
After waiting for an hour and a half for the fitters to arrive, the Aga installation was actually, shock horror, straight forward. It is now fully functioning and burning off a special unpleasant new Aga smell whilst also warming up the house. Yeah! It definitely feels like a big step in the right direction towards the house being ready to move back into.
