New Year, new carpentry, bye bye garage

January saw the return of many of the different trades. The carpenters were back to build cupboards under the stairs, storage in the study and wardrobes in the bedroom. The electricians had a few bits and pieces to do. The plumbers had a couple of leaks to fix. The garage was knocked down and there was a lot of junk to be cleared by the builders.

We had decisions to make about what to do outside – who knew there were so many different sorts of paviers? I’m not sure I was even familiar with the word paviers. I did manage to consistently pick the most expensive options in each brochure or selection though and this is why they should always put prices in. It’s a trick. Eventually we managed to agree on some options which weren’t the most expensive and the order went in.
